Obituary
Stephanie Kenyedda (Dodie) Elam passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Augusta University Hospital. She was born on October 8, 1971, to Lula Belle Elam of Lincolnton, GA and Otha Lee White of Live Oak, FL. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents John and Annie Kate Elam, her aunts Ella Maude Elam, Onie Dell Leverett, and Leomia Elam and uncles Benjamin Elam and Samuel Nathaniel Elam, and cousins Crystal Elam, Tykeisha Elam and Andrew Elam.
Stephanie attended North Miami Beach High School, and she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. Stephanie was a loyal employee at Teleperformance working as a WellCare Representative since June 16, 2014. Prior to that spent numerous years as customer service representative at C.A.O.T.T.I. Stephanie was a good-hearted woman - loyal, generous, and hard working. She loved her children and family.
Stephanie is survived by her parents Lula Belle (George) Beard of Lincolnton, GA and her father Otha Lee White of Live Oak, FL, Paternal Grandmother, Iola Ivery of Jacksonville, FL and three children, Alia Natasha Hawes, Andreas Nathaniel Hawes, and Ashley Nicole Elam of the home. One granddaughter mourns the loss of her Nana, Emery Reign Hawes. She leaves a great-aunt mourning, Willie Mae Elam of Lincolnton, GA. She leaves three sisters to cherish her memory, Tatianna White of Cocoa, FL, Tarsha Fulton and Mary Ivey of Savannah, GA and five brothers Otha White Jr. of Miami, FL, Corneilus White (April) of Jacksonville, FL, and Ruhemmeion O. King, Sr. of Lincolnton, GA, George Beard IV of Augusta, GA and Demarcus Beard of Lincolnton, GA.
Nine aunts, twelve uncles, seven nieces, ten nephews, two great-nieces and a host of cousins and dear friends mourn the loss of their beloved Dodie.
At the request of the deceased, she will be cremated and no formal service will be held. Memorial arrangements have been entrusted to Gunby Funeral Home, 456 Metasville Rd., Lincolnton, GA, 30817.
