Ralph Searles, Jr.

The Angels came and took me away, don’t cry for me, smile one day I will unite again with you.

Ralph Searles, Jr. was born October 1, 1935, in McCormick, South Carolina to the union of the late Mr. Ralph Searles Sr. and the late Mrs. Tillie Freeman Searles.

Ralph entered into eternal rest on Wednesday November 22, 2023, at Lake Crossing Nursing Home in Appling, Georgia.

Ralph attended McCormick School System, then after he was farming with his father and later started working at the sawmill.

He met and fell in love with Mrs. Mary Ophelia Searles and made her his wife. This union was blessed with two children. Ralph loved cutting grass, fishing and he also loved hunting.

Preceding him in death, his parents, his loving wife Mary O. Searles, two brothers, Robert and Willie Searles and a sister Rosa Julia Blackmon.

He leaves to cherish many precious memories, one daughter, Mary Lee Searles, one son, Ralph Searles III, both of Lincolnton, Georgia; two stepdaughters, Helen Jean Jackson of Greenwood, South Carolina; and Susie Mae Andrews of Thomson, Georgia; three grandsons and one granddaughter, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.
