Christiana Banks Obituary

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

On March 1, 2022, the Lord decided Ms. Christiana Latonia Banks have labored in this garden of life and needed to be planted in the garden of eternal life with her maternal grandparents Willie and Christine Davis. Paternal grandparents Hallah Banks Sr. and Lucy Curry Banks Barnes and Arthur Barnes (step-grandfather). Six uncles, Lester Davis, Leon Wynn, Willie Heard, Virgil Banks, Jerry Dean Banks, Jimmy   Frances Banks. Three aunts, Louise Banks Wideman, Bobbie Jean Banks Wardlaw, Kathleen Heard and two special cousins Gabriel Davis and Tiffany Marshall.

She was born October 5, 1981, in Augusta, Georgia to Hallah Banks Jr. and Lucretia D. Banks.

She joined Harmony Baptist Church, Lincolnton Georgia at an early age. She was a faithful member and a member of the choir. Christiana is a graduate of Lincoln County High School class of 2001. She is enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her mother, nephews, and niece. She loved to travel, and sight see.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted mother, Lucretia D. Banks of Lincolnton, Georgia; brother Carlos Wilburn of Elberton, Georgia; two sisters, Candace (Cedrick Norman) of Lincolnton, Georgia; Erica Davis of Augusta, Georgia; six aunts, Monaco D. Wynn, Athens, Georgia; Katie Murray Huff of Lincolnton, Georgia; Etherleen Banks, Ida Helen (AL) Slaninka and Anne (Leslie) Singh, all of New York; Mary (Verdary) Murray of Hephzibah, Georgia; two uncles Johnny (Mary) Banks of Jonesboro, Georgia; Michael (Demetries) Banks, of Tampa, Florida; father figure George “Randy” Zellars of Lincolnton, Georgia. She was a loving aunt to eleven nephews and one niece, a host of other relatives and friends.
