Rosie Mickens Obituary

Ms. Rosie Mickens was born August 21,1957 to the late Ethelene and Willie Neal Mickens in Lincolnton, Georgia.

She graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1975. 

She accepted the Lord at an early age and joined the Antioch CME Church in Lincolnton, Georgia. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing short stories and doing puzzles.

She entered into eternal rest Saturday March 2, 2024, at her residence.

Rosie was preceded in death by her loving son Tremaine Mickens.

 She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Dishika, Sheneque, and Kenya Mickens all of Lincolnton, Georgia; one son, Gerald Mickens of Lincolnton, Georgia; three grandchildren, D’Nysha Mickens, Gerald Lockhart, and Kahlanna Mickens all of Lincolnton, Georgia; a very special and devoted friend, Daniel Marshall of Appling, Georgia; two sisters, Juanita (Jessie) Gartrell, and Julia (Michael) Elam both of Lincolnton, Georgia; six brothers, Prelo (Tonya) Mickens, Tom Mickens, Willie Edward (Deborah) Mickens, Henry Will Mickens all of Lincolnton, Georgia; Amos (Althea) Mickens of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Melvin Floyd of Thomson, Georgia. A special sister-in-law Gwendolyn Mickens of Lincolnton, Georgia. And of host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
