After seventy-three years of an active life, Brother Phil Norman Jr., who was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed from this life into eternal life. The faith and hope of a crown of righteousness awaits him.

He was born July 11, 1950, to the late Mr. Phillip "Phil" Norman Sr. and the late Mrs. Geneva Benson Norman in Lincolnton, Georgia. He graduated in 1969 from Westside High School in Lincolnton, Georgia. 

He joined New Tabernacle Baptist Church at an early age. There he served as Sexton and was a member of Kitchen Ministries until a brief illness. He was employed by The Georgia State Department Of Transportation (GDOT) where he fulfilled 34 years of service. 

He was formerly married to Lucille Zellars. He was a loving father of three children, one of whom preceded him in death, Ms. Phyllis Norman-Harris.

He leaves to cherish his memories a very loving and devoted son, Mr. Phil Norman III of Lincolnton, Georgia and a loving daughter, Mrs. Lettrice (Derrick) Little of Cypress, Texas. Two brothers, Mr. Melvin (Sandra) Norman and Mr. Barry (Bobbie) Norman Sr., all of Lincolnton, Georgia. Two Sisters, Mrs. Peggy (Fred) Wells and Ms. Dorothy A. Norman, all of Lincolnton, Georgia.

He was a devoted grandfather to seven grandchildren: Jared Slack, Demarius Barksdale, Jamal Norman, JaKayla Norman, AJ Harris, Phil Clark Norman and Addison Little.. 

He was also a devoted grandfather to four great grandchildren: Kensley Barksdale, Karson Anderson, Kaidence Norman and Kai Norman.

He also has two special aunts, Mrs. Frances Benson of Greenwood, South Carolina and Mrs. Nancy Norman Hawes of Lincolnton, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
