Brady Jackson-Grant Obituary

Brady Mae (neé Leverett) Grant entered into rest on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024. Brady was the daughter of Jinks Sr. and Emma Lean Leverett, both of whom predeceased her. She was born on May 15th,1940 in Lincoln County, Georgia. She was baptized at an early age and became a member of Pleasant Grove CME Church. She graduated from Lincoln County Training School in 1960. After graduation, she relocated to Passaic, New Jersey where she joined William Chapel AME Church. She was a faithful member of both congregations; also singing in the choir. Additionally, she was also a member of the Elk Lodge for many years.

She was married to Roscoe Grant who passed before her. She also had one son, Roberson Martin Jackson, who passed away in 2022. She had four siblings who predeceased her: Bash Ann (Samuel) Jallah, Jinks Jr., Kathleen, and Peggy (Sanford) Ponder. Brady leaves behind, to cherish her precious memory, her devoted sister Annie “Nunnie” Bennett (Charles) of Athens, Georgia. She will be dearly missed by her grandson; Isaiah Jackson, her granddaughter; Indira Jackson, and her two great grandchildren, Miyama Mae Allen and Maliya Renee Allen, all of Lithia Springs, Georgia. She leaves behind a great number of relatives and friends who will always miss her greatly.
